Photo Treasure

Imagine coming across these beautiful photos at an antique auction and discovering a lifetime of work. That’s what happened to John Maloof who discovered the work of Vivian Maier, a nanny who took street photographs in Chicago from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. Her photos are so beautifully composed and capture such interesting moments. Sadly, she died before he could meet her, but he’s been working to preserve and bring her work to light.

Check out Maloof’s blog that has more information about her life and work here.
