Custom Stamps

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

I had been planning to get a custom stamp made for my shop Cunning & Crafty for a while and had browsed through many stamp shops on Etsy until I decided on JLMould. She provides lots of wood mounted and clear mounted stamps in various sizes. You can choose from a variety of designs or supply your own image from a digital file or a drawing (as long as it’s a clear, monotone design). I chose a 2″ x 0.5″ sized stamp mounted on a clear block and emailed Jessica Lynn my file. She responded quickly and in a few weeks (only delayed by the Canadian Postal Strike), I got my stamp and I couldn’t be happier.

Another reason why I chose JLMould was that they also provided the clear mounting block for the stamp and gave me 2 moulds of my stamp. The moulds are flexible pieces of plastic that contain your design and you can peel it off from the clear mounting block to change designs or reposition. They just stick with their inherent plastic stickiness. It’s also nice to have a clear stamp so you can see exactly where you’re stamping. Looking forward to stamping my packages and cards! Check out www.JLMould.etsy.com to see if she might have the stamp for you!
